Meet The Team

Dr. Michael Korn, DDS, FICOI

Dr. Michael Korn received his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Southern California and was nominated by the faculty for "best hand skills" or the Rex Ingraham Award, 2010. He received a Master of Science degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, 2005 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, 2003 both from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Korn chose dentistry to match his interests, skills and perfectionist personality. In dentistry, Dr. Korn is able to make a lasting impression on the health, wellness and happiness of the people around him.

Dr. Korn was drawn to the geography and climate of the Great Northwest to raise his family. He became a voracious volunteer at Swedish Community Specialty Clinic performing surgical and full mouth extractions. In November, 2014, Dr. Korn was recognized as "Volunteer of the Year" by Seattle King County Dental Foundation for his free surgical work there. Dr. Korn has also been awarded the honor of Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists after completing the Implant Pathway continuum.

Dr. Korn has had the pleasure of treating many different patient populations. While in dental school he spent some time in the special patients department treating patients with complex medical histories; he volunteered at the Union Gospel Mission in downtown LA in an area known as “Skid Row”; he volunteered with Queen’s Care at USC treating elementary school children in south central Los Angeles; he has worked with the Nisqually Indian Tribe; he has spent time at both men’s and women’s prisons in the state of Washington; he volunteers each month at the Swedish Community Specialty Clinic providing care for the patient population who needs it most.

When Dr. Korn is not fighting the war on dental decay he enjoys camping, snowboarding, white water rafting and frequenting Seattle Sounders games. However, the strong majority of his time is currently devoted to his beautiful wife, little girl and baby boy!

Diane, RDH

My name is Diane Maier. I went to Dental Hygiene school at Pierce College near Tacoma. I moved to West Seattle 27 years ago and started working with William Raleigh, DDS at that time. Dr. Korn purchased his practice in 2017. It has been a pleasure to see the high quality dental work Dr. Korn does for his patients every day. I enjoy meeting new patients of all ages and helping them with their dental concerns.

Our Team

Welcome to Dr. Korn’s dental office! We are a family practice that serves the West Seattle area. Located in the little blue house on the corner of California and Genesee, Dr. Korn took over this general dental practice after Dr. William Raleigh retired in 2017. The team at Korn Dentistry is dedicated to providing patients with the highest standard of dental care. We take pride in giving patients quality dental treatments while being as transparent as possible with our estimates.

Ali, RDH

I recently moved to West Seattle from the Boise Idaho area and am excited to be a part of Dr. Korn’s team. I attended Idaho State University and graduated with a double Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and Health Sciences. During my hygiene education I spent a lot of time in community health services, elementary schools, and volunteer clinics, where I was able to work with diverse groups of patients. My absolute favorite part of my job is getting to know my patients, and I pride myself in providing very thorough oral health education and care that fits each individual patient’s needs. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our golden retriever Indie, we love skiing and anything outdoors, as well as trying new food, so I am excited for all that West Seattle has to offer!

Meagan studied Psychology and Sociology at the University of Washington. Starting in dentistry right after graduation, she has been able to put her degrees to use in unexpected ways. She is compassionate and friendly to all who walk through our doors. In her free time, Meagan enjoys hanging out with her husband and Goldendoodle, Phoebe. They enjoy exploring Seattle, skiing, hiking, and going to UW and Seahawks football games.

I was born and raised in Russia. At age 16, I moved to the United States, graduated from High School, then College and became a registered Dental Assistant in Washington State in the beginning of 2011. I enjoy admiring, as well as creating art, especially sculpting and painting. With my love for art, came some important skills, such as sturdy hands, attention to details and creative mind. I believe those three things help me a lot to be a hard working dental assistant with a positive attitude. My favorite part about dentistry is our patients and our interaction with each other. Every day I learn something new and exciting from them. And, of course, helping people in general is extremely rewarding.

Having only been in the dental industry since 2016, Marissa has learned a lot about quality patient care. Her top priority is making sure that all of our patients’ concerns are addressed! Outside of the office, she enjoys trying new restaurants, going to museums, or simply spending her day at a library. She also loves spending time with friends, family and her two dogs.
